My first WordPress.com. blog – Trying to get to grips with a new way of working : /

I will be compiling blogs of old before I start any new ones, then again I have been set a challenge recently – so may well start a new one at the same time; who knows, I’m not the boss of me and neither are you ; )

Okay here’s the deal, I have been an on-line junky for too many years and over those years have had numerous places to store my musings and web actions and attractions, unfortunately recently I lost a whole load of stuff because a social media web service ceased to provide service and the messages they sent to me to warn me went to an old (very old) e-mail address of mine – subsequently I lost a whole load of on-line storings and stories.

Now I am the first to admit that it is probably no great loss to society, the historians of the future are not going to trawl back through the annals of social media history and say – “well we have evidence that X-Wide P recorded his most spectacular musings between the years 1996 and 2006 but unfortunately none survive, due to the arbitrary deletion of accounts, web sites, posts and blogs by Geocities; truly a tragedy of the ‘modernity age’ as we can now only imagine his greatness during these formative years of the world wide web’s dominance” – but it did indeed make me feel quite sad.

Sad that, the effort, however minimal or whimsical had now been wasted, no not wasted, destroyed, deleted forever from the hard wired servers and the ethereal ethernet with such simplistic ease and against my – fully notified in the eyes of the law – will.

So I am going to trawl what is left and viable (i.e. that I am willing to share again) information from off the web and post it here, I will then upload all my new blogs, personal and professional, photo’s, music links, lyrics, poems, art work and any other thing I create that I feel should be shared, whether you like it or not, you don’t have to read it : )
