This button is in the main entrance (reception), it is a rather large metal box with a brass plate and a little push button in the middle, situated in the middle of a blank wall.
I work in a very old building (nearly 900 years old) that has been altered and the rooms have had many uses over the years, there are a lot of little things that don’t seem to have a purpose or even belong in the present version that is the Farnham Castle we know today.
No one on site knows what it does/did! What do you think it did? I have pushed it and nothing discernible happened. It is a mystery!
