Do you like museums?

Would you like to come and work with me? Maybe even take my place?

We have three Trustee vacancies at the City of Leicester Museums Trust and I am stepping down after eight years as Chair, in September 2012.

Trustees Wanted: Would you like to be involved in Leicester Museums & Galleries by playing a key role in the acquisition of items for its collections?

The City of Leicester Museums’ Trust is a registered charity whose purpose is to purchase relevant objects and exhibits for Leicester’s Museums.  Purchases are funded largely through public donation boxes in our museums and galleries, together with private donations, bequests and grants.

We are looking for individuals from a wide range of backgrounds who can contribute their skills and experience to the Trust.  If you have an interest in museums and galleries, then we would like to hear from you.

We are looking for three new trustees due to the retirement of current trustees.  The role is voluntary; Trustees receive no remuneration or expenses.  Three or four meetings are held per year, normally at New Walk Museum, Leicester.

Closing date: Thursday 12th April 2012
